Kyle West

ABOUT

Built in the Field. Focused Through the Lens.

I'm Kyle West, founder of Westory Media.

I spent nearly two decades in construction, beginning in residential carpentry and later working as a union carpenter on jobsites across New England and beyond.

My background is rooted in wood framing, with hands-on experience across residential homes, schools, apartments, retail spaces, commercial builds, historic renovations, and landmark projects including the Ropewalk restoration at the Charlestown Navy Yard and the Omni Mount Washington Resort Presidential Wing expansion.

I've also worked in demanding environments far beyond typical New England conditions, from building in the heat of St. John, U.S.V.I. to winter jobsite work in the White Mountains.

An injury eventually pushed me toward a different kind of work, but it didn't change how I approach the job. The same discipline, attention to detail, and respect for the trades that shaped me in construction now shape how I document projects through Westory Media.

I understand safety, access, sequencing, weather, deadlines, craftsmanship, and the language of the trades because I've lived it. From early site work to framing, finishes, and final presentation, I know what real progress looks like before the camera ever comes out.

Westory Media blends field experience with drone footage, video production, editing, and modern media tools to help contractors, developers, and trades document their work clearly, professionally, and with respect for the people building it.

CREATIVE DIRECTION & SIGN-READY VISUALS

Beyond jobsite documentation, Westory also helps shape the creative pieces around the work — from logo concepts and mascots to social media graphics, short-form video, AI-assisted visual direction, and sign-ready design assets.

Working alongside experienced sign professionals, we can help move an idea from rough concept to polished visual direction for print, signage, web, or social media.
